Moncler has revolutionised the concept of outerwear becoming an internationally recognised brand synonym of goose down jackets.


The company, founded in 1952 by Renè Ramillon, was originally producing quilted sleeping bags, tents with a telescopic structure and a single model of a lined hooded cape.

Later on, with the contribution of the famous alpinist Lionel Terray, it gave birth to the first collection of high-altitude clothing, designed to withstand extreme temperatures and weather conditions.


During the 80’s, after being protagonist of many ski competitions and climbing expeditions, Moncler iconic down jackets conquered the city becoming a global streetwear cult.


In 2003, the Italian entrepreneur Remo Ruffini bought out the company and collaborated with several international fashion designers in order to turn it into a popular luxury brand.


Moncler downs and jackets represent a perfect combination between aesthetic sensitivity, harmony of shapes, elegance and refinement, as well as a great vocation for sports and nature, with extremely high technical and quality standards.

Its products are real must-haves embodying a unique and universal sporty-chic style.


2018 marks the beginning of a new stage for the brand, which recently opened the Milan Fashion Week revealing the new “Moncler Genius Building” project: a new creative hub comprising eight designers of different nationalities and backgrounds. Each of them will present, on monthly basis, a new collection to celebrate his individual design approach. The aim of this collaboration is to integrate all brand’s facets and to reduce the distance between the company and its customers, trying to always have something new to offer.
